Instructional Aid Internships

Eden Learning Academy is searching for Instructor's Assistants to assist with classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays at our location in Murrieta. If you want to join our team and make a positive impact in the classroom, we want to meet you! This position requires up to five hours per week and is a voluntary internship (volunteer hours available). Check out our class schedules to see a list of classes and times you would like to volunteer for.

Qualifications

Teaching Assistants are 15 years or older, be enrolled currently in high school, college or University, and have familiarity with classroom responsibilities, mentoring or administrative support. We are looking for a caring and passionate role model, with a positive track record of being a team player, who is organized, understands the importance of a support role in the classroom and has an interest in contributing to the success of every student. All High School interns must have previously taken the class they wish to intern for with a grade of a B or higher. Unofficial transcripts accepted.

All Instructional Assistants over the age of 18 shall be subject to a California Department of Justice (DOJ) background investigation.

Responsibilities

Instructional Assistants reinforce lessons presented by instructor by reviewing material with students one-on-one or in small groups as needed. Enforce school and class rules to help teach students proper behavior. Help instructors with record keeping, tracking attendance, classroom management and set-up, grading, etc.
